A deeply meaningful place, like a second home

Students, graduates and their families often refer to Maria’s Babies Society as their “Second Home”. I think the reason for this is that our school is a warm place that is a deeply significant part of their daily life. Our graduates have moved on and are now making good use of their abilities and leadership skills at their new schools, but they look forward to the regular opportunities we provide for them to return to MBS and interact with the younger children who are following in their footsteps.

In this unique early childhood educational environment, all of our teachers must maintain a spirit of love and happiness and make full use of their various specialties as they work to mould the character and develop the abilities of each individual child. In early childhood education, the attitude and actions of both teachers and parents have a most profound influence on the children indeed.

Childhood education which places importance on human education as it raises up the next generation

Maria’s Babies Society is currently hiring people in various fields of specialty who possess appropriate qualifications, abundant experience and/or valuable skills, and who have a desire to work towards the goal of raising future generations while placing an emphasis on human education. Applicants need far more than a mere “love of children” to qualify for a position at our school.

All of our teachers must develop meaningful personal relationships with the children. They must have the strength of spirit and sense of responsibility to make a clear difference in the children’s lives. They must have appropriate specialist knowledge and abilities as well as a lifelong love of learning. And they must have a strong sense of morality and teamwork. Early childhood education requires a great deal of patience, and children have wide-ranging needs, so while a “love of children” is certainly a prerequisite, it does not by itself constitute suitable qualification for a teaching position at our school.

Our Professional Staff, and Their Mission

At Maria’s Babies Society we feel that it is extremely important for children to encounter and be stimulated and inspired by great people on a daily basis, and that these experiences form the foundation of the early childhood period. A structured programme of language arts (English and Japanese) and music education form the core of our children’s daily school life, while a wide range of other subjects and experiences add variety and round out the curriculum. Below is a list of teaching positions at our school. If you want to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of children, please contact us anytime. If you are someone who would be a good fit with our school environment, we would like to meet you in person and discuss a possible role for you at MBS.
